Run the installer directly with no Developer Mode requirement. This distribution format is still under testing; verify the matching .sha256 file.

MSIX (.7z)

Advanced sideload

Closest to the Store build. Extract the .7z package, enable Developer Mode, and run install.ps1.

Get the latest MSIX package

Choose x64 for most Intel/AMD PCs. Choose ARM64 only for Windows on Arm devices.

Installation and upgrade notice

Version upgrades may adjust backup and restore behavior details. If you are upgrading from an older version, validate the result in a test folder, test project, or test save before using it in production.

Microsoft Store is recommended first for smoother upgrades.
Do not install the Store, MSI, and MSIX versions side by side.
Switching installation channels does not migrate configs or plugins automatically; back up your data first.
