Use Microsoft Store first, then run a test before production

Installation and upgrade notice

Version upgrades may adjust backup and restore behavior details. If you are upgrading from an older version, validate the result in a test folder, test project, or test save before using it in production.

  • Microsoft Store is recommended first for smoother upgrades.
  • Do not install the Store version and the offline package side by side.
  • If sideloading is required, run at least one full backup-and-restore test immediately after install.
